Foot and Nail Nurses have completed specialized foot care education and are knowledgeable about the structure and function of the foot. We are dedicated to utilizing our nursing skills to provide excellent foot care. As nurses, we understand disease processes such as diabetes, the effects of poor circulation and how they affect our overall health.

Our mission is to improve access to medically-based, patient-centered foot care to seniors and those with chronic health care conditions within our community. We understand that quality foot care decreases risk of infection and risk of falls while enhancing quality of life and overall well-being.

Foot and Nail Nurses utilize a holistic approach to care. We not only address your feet but also take into consideration your overall health and well-being by addressing each person's unique needs and preferences.

Foot care nurses work closely with other health care professionals and make appropriate referrals when necessary.

Cyndi discovered the need for senior foot care while searching for care for her mother. She contacted podiatrist's offices and found offices either had no availability for several months or didn't offer toenail care. In addition, the few resources she found online were no longer offering services or didn't return her messages.

As a nurse herself, she recognized the extreme gap in care. She realized how other families were likely in the same situation as they searched for foot care for family members.
She soon decided to pursue specialized training in foot care to become a Certified Foot Care Nurse (CFCN) through the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board and Certified Foot Care Specialist (CFCS) through the American Foot Care Nurses Association. She is currently pursuing wound care certification through Emory University. She is honored to now be able to offer this much needed service to those in her community.
