
OUR SERVICES.

During your visit, our Foot and Nail Nurses will provide the following services:

Review of medical history and comprehensive assessment of the lower extremities to identify 'at-risk' features of the feet

Assessment of your feet, toes, and toenails

Assessment of your skin
-
Assessment of pain, numbness, pulses, loss of feeling in feet and toes

Trimming, filing and reducing thick nails by manual or electric file
-
Reduction of corns and calluses by manual or electric file
-
Application of appropriate lotion or oil
-
Screen for early detection of foot and nail problems
-
Help prevent injuries from occurring through education
-
Refer to other health care providers as needed
-
Provide patient education to achieve and maintain good foot health
-
Compression recommendations if indicated
-
Assess for appropriate footwear
-
Complete ongoing assessments and evaluation during follow-up visits

Additional Information:

Medically accepted levels of infection control and prevention practices are maintained.

If your condition is beyond our ability, training, or scope of practice, you will be referred to your PCP, podiatrist, or appropriate healthcare professional.
​
We do not soak clients’ feet due to risk of infection and excessive drying of the skin. Many of our patients suffer from neuropathy and soaking the feet increases risk of complications and is not recommended.
